Help Transform the Lives of Students in Mexico City

Give underprivileged children in Mexico access to a Montessori education!

The Montessori method of education is an amazing way for children to learn at their own pace and through their own mistakes. In Mexico City, most Montessori schools are private and located in the most affluent areas of the city and can be very expensive to attend. This makes it almost impossible for children of low income households to have access to this amazing method of education. Casa de los Niños de Palo Solo is one of the only Montessori schools in Mexico City specifically working to teach low income children. Casa de los Niños de Palo Solo was founded in 1980 and is located in the marginalized area of Huixquilucan, State of Mexico in Mexico City. They currently support 225 low income boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 12 years of preschool and elementary school based on the Montessori philosophy. For almost 40 years Casa de los Ninos de Palo Solo has supported low income students to learn at their own pace.

Casa de los Niños de Palo Solo Graduate Testimony

"I'm Brenda and graduated from Palo Solo's House of Children in 2009. After graduating I continued onto high school, and thanks to all the resources and the education I gained, I was able to complete high school in three years. I am now finished with high school and am about to start University! This is huge for me because I am the first in my family to have this opportunity!"

"The child who has increased his own independence with the acquisition of new abilities, can only develop normally if he has freedom of action."
— Maria Montessori
