Give a book to a child who needs it most!
According to the American Federation of Teachers, 32.4 million American children go without access to books. Countless others do not have a single book to call their own. It is imperative to give children from low-income families access to inspiring books to help break the cycle of poverty. Their future depends on it.
Kids Need to Read is devoted to providing books and literacy programs vital to the success of disadvantaged children throughout the United States. The organization receives applications daily from schools, libraries, literacy organizations and grassroots groups requesting books to give to the children they serve. With your help, Kids Need to Read can increase the amount of books it can store and ship to children who have little access to reading resources.
You can help. Just $25 ships 100 books to disadvantaged children in the United States with limited access to reading materials.
Kids Need to Read works to create a culture of reading for children by providing inspiring books to underfunded schools, libraries, and literacy programs across the United States, especially those serving disadvantaged children.
