I love it! I don't use all of the spice in the pack. Just a little. I'm not a spicy type of soup lover. I just love Split Pea soup in all of it's glory! I did add ham for flavor though.
The Split Pea Soup makes a wonderful cold weather dinner and the recipe is very easy to follow. However, the spice packet makes for an extremely spicy soup. Suggestion: use about one quarter of the packet, more can be added later if you desire something with more kick. I keep a few packets on hand and it is a wonderful crockpot/slow cooker meal. Serve with a fresh crusty bread and you have a delicious meal --- leftovers, too!
I love these, I have ordered before. I bought the chili and the 10 bean mix. I plan to continue ordering and to try the other two.
Very, very good. And the packaging is cute enough to give away as a gift. I didn't follow the recipe exactly, I made my own version and it was great!
