Together, we can be There When It Matters, and help those affected by the disastrous floods in the Southeast region of the US.
Tropical Storm Barry made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane Saturday afternoon. With the area already flooding and the Mississippi River at historic levels 3 times above average, the 20 inches of rainfall predicted for the region are expected to be disastrous. We urgently need your help to send support to those affected. We are responding to requests to support feeding people affected, transport pre-storm adoptable pets out of shelters, and provide critically needed supplies for pets, like vaccines. Our partners on the ground have set up food distribution and supplies to people and pets in need.
Additionally, in a preemptive effort to protect the lives of the animals affected, GreaterGood.org and partner, Wings of Rescue, have relocated pre-flood shelter pets from Louisiana to make room for incoming displaced pets and owner surrenders, and more flights are being scheduled to assist the area shelters in recovery after the storm passes.
Your donation will go to GreaterGood.org disaster relief fund to help those affected. We are in continuous communication with our partners on the ground to make sure they have what they need to prepare for this major flooding event.
GreaterGood.org has ultimate authority and discretion with regard to the distribution of its funds. All expenditures made are consistent with the exempt purposes of GreaterGood.org.
